Food That Helps Fight with Cold


In the cold winter, besides more physical exercise, wearing more clothes, if add more food that could withstand cold everyday, can improve the body's fight cold ability. The following food can be frequently seen in our daily life.
The mutton, beef and venison’s effect are good. They contain high protein, carbohydrate and fat . eating this meat help the fasten of metabolism, so as to achieve the effect of withstand cold.

The root-stock food:
Lotus root, carrots, lily, potato, green vegetables, Chinese cabbage contain rich inorganic salt, and this kind of food can be mixed with other food.

Spicy food:
Chili contains capsaicin while ginger contains aromatic essential oil, pepper contains pepper alkali. Eating this spicy food can promote the blood circulation thus increase the body's temperature.

Food with iodine:
Kelp, laver, sea salt, hair weeds, jellyfish, clam, Chinese cabbage, spinach, corn can promote the secretion of thyroid hormone of human body.
Thyroid hormone has diet-induced thermo genesis, it can accelerate the body’s (except the brain, gland, uterus) most cells’ oxidation process, increasing the heat production, thus increase the basal metabolic rate, strengthen the skin blood circulation, finally resisting from the cold.
 
Iron high food:
Anemia’s women’s temperature normally 0.7 lower than normal hemoglobin women while produce 13% less heat, when adding iron, the resisting cold ability increase apparently. Therefore, women who afraid of clod can consciously increase the take of high iron food, such as animal liver, lean, spinach, egg yolks, etc.
